About this item
A substantial and highly decorative Regency style fireplace surround complete with black slate slips.
Featuring a deeply carved frieze, overlaid with a repeated stylised bellflower design arranged in disciplined rows. Above this runs a crisp dentil band, giving strong classical definition.
The scale of the piece makes it particularly well suited to grand reception rooms, drawing rooms or formal interiors.
Finished in a soft, historic stone-toned paint, a striking statement surround with impressive proportions.
The slips can be removed if a more generous aperture is desired.
