This is an open face, stem wound / stem set movement
The movement has a good spring and balance
Movement – the good quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, USA, 17 Jewels” 25875805 and is in 95% mint condition – no case screws
Dial – the silvered dial has a centre decorated with fine engine turning and engraving and a full set of fancy blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 80% mint condition – some scratches and stains
The movement measures 40mm x 6mm
