The rare rock crystal statue of the Tibetan Green Tara commands attention with its exquisite craftsmanship and spiritual presence. Seated in Lalitasana on a lotus throne with her pendant foot resting on a smaller lotus, the right hand extends in Varadamudra, bestowing blessings and generosity, while the left hand is held in Vitarkamudra, representing the transmission of spiritual teachings. Clad in a dhoti that ties around her waist and adorned with a lariat of necklace, the Green Tara's countenance is serene, with downcast eyes above pursed lips. Large rosette-style shoulder duster earrings frame her face, and hair arranged in a tall chignon surmounted by an elaborate crown, symbolizing her divine status. Carved from a solid block of genuine gemstone rock crystal of the highest quality, the statue exhibits crystal clarity with mesmerizing natural mineral inclusions. The Green Tara, with one foot stepping down from the lotus throne, is not just a masterpiece of art but a representation of compassion and the alleviation of suffering. 1035 grams (2.3 lbs).
