A rare and important pair of early 20th Century Chinese Export polychrome ceramic foo dogs. Both in traditional dress and modelled with open mouths and seated, one with a paw resting on a small pup, the other with a paw resting on a brocade ball, supported on traditional Chinese stands. Beautifully decorated in the Majolica style green, yellow and aubergine glaze.
