    Anonymous: French. Circa: 1830. Diameter: 48 mm.

    An early 19th Century French cylinder in a gold open face case with gold ratchet key. Keywind gilt Lepine calibre bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Engine turned silver dial with Roman numerals, gilt Breguet hands. Faded engine turned 18 carat open face case with engine turned middle. Wound and set through the gilt metal cuvette. Short gold chain, fine decorative chased and engraved gold ratchet key.
