About this item
Late 18th.c oak chest of drawers c.1780. Constructed in two pieces (typical of the form) with a shallow top drawer over a larger drawer below in both sections. Three plank oak top with an applied moulded edge. Moulded drawer fronts with brass drop handles and shaped escutcheons. Moulded trim between the drawers and around the bottom of both sections. Oak drawer linings and oak panelled sides and rear. Some previous repairs and restorations, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
