About this item
Two interesting Oceanic war clubs,c1890-1920. The smaller is a late 19th century Australian Aboriginal / first nation throwing club. It has lovely tribal decoration (intersecting semi circles) to the club head and the wood has taken on great colour/patina. The second club is Fijian, a little later c1920, with nice carved decorative features. There is a slot in the club head so presumably something was inserted into this? Again the wood has taken on great colour patina following many years of use. Both are a good weight and are in good antique condition with only very minor signs of use/wear. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
