    About this item

Georgian Hexagonal Tripod book table. A most unusual table dating from the 18th Century. Standing on a tripod base with a "cannon" turned column with two revolving tops, united by slender turned supports. Beautifully proportioned and made of the densest cuban mahogany. Still having leather castors, all original, has sustained two splits to lower tier….a long time ago. Single piece top. A truly rare table we have never seen one like it in 35 years and as far as we know there is nothing on the market like it.

A wonderful table and still very useful in today's modern living.

Condition : Very Good, one small split to lower tier near the edge, repaired well and barely noticeable
    Materials : Mahogany
    Origin : English
    Manufacture Date : 1760
