This is an exceptional original 19th Century Barbizon School Landscape Oil Painting attributed to famous French artist: 'Paul Désiré Trouillebert' (1829-1900)
The superb scene depicts an expansive rural landscape setting with woodlands, a small town in the distance, and a lone figure who is standing on the river bank looking at a group of swans that are before him.
The attention to detail throughout the painting is outstanding.
Dated lower-right 1882.
Mounted within the original and fabulous quality two-tone gilt-swept frame.
