A stunning early 19th Century rosewood ladies writing desk. The entire finely hand painted with Neoclassical motifs of scrolling foliate, swags and flower heads through out, framing centred cartouche depicting two cherubs in repose. The moulded top of rectangular form with built in fire screen and reeded border raised over frieze with cockbeaded single long drawer with bead detail and pull out section with fitted leather writing skiver surface, supported on square straight leg with carved C scroll motif terminating on trestle foot with upholstered stretcher.
