Exceptional! By Royal Academy Listed Artist Large 19th Century Oil Portrait Painting

On offer is this large exceptional quality oil on board portrait painting depicting a smartly dressed little schoolboy who is lying beside a small pond within an expansive English landscape whilst playing with his toy sailing boat.

Painted during the 19th Century by the desirable British Royal Academy Listed artist: 'Robert Antoine Muller' RA (1821-1883).

The above magnificent work is affectionately titled: ''Setting Sail''.

It is extremely atmospheric and lifelike and, indeed, Muller has captured the scene with magnificent attention to detail.

Dating to circa 1875, and mounted within the original substantial-sized gilt gesso moulded frame.

The work is signed by the artist lower-right corner: ''Robert A. Muller''.

It is a beautiful subject matter and the piece will look outstanding on any wall on which it is placed.
