    A beautiful, 19th century chest from Inner Mongolia. The top is of miter, tenon and mortise construction encasing a single board floating panel. Full apron depicts traditional Mongolian motifs of blossoms in circular form, hand painted in gorgeous mineral red highlighted with saffron gold, flanked by carved spandrels featuring dragons and scrolls. A side drawer and a pair of doors open to full capacity storage. Solid wood.
