About this item
A beautiful natural lapis lazuli statue of the Happy Buddha. The full face with big laughing mouth below smiling eyes flanked by long pendulous earlobes. Buddha wears a loose robe falling gracefully to his legs, revealing his chest and feet. The left hand in Karana Mudra symbolizing "Demons Expelled". A large lotus leaf decorates the back of the statue. The 2lb statue is made of the finest grade natural lapis lazuli with saturated, intense, brilliant cobalt blue and thin only occasional stripes of gold and white. Fine grade all natural, undyed lapis is now exceedingly rare. One of a kind, hand carved.
