    About this item

An early 19th century, steel and brass, patent meat hook. This would have hung from a spit jack, which rotated in front of the fire, and the meat would have been gripped by the large hook. It is English and dates from c.1830.  There is interesting, decorative work on both the steel and the brass and the word “PATENTEE” is encorporated in numerous places. It is in excellent condition.

    Dimensions: Length 40.5cm. Width 10cm. Depth 3cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10
