18s 17J Private label Illinois pocket watch c1909

This pocket watch has a good spring but the balance has bent pivots and is not swinging. The watch is not working. Also please note that the groove to access the lever is not large enough. This will need to be widened to allow the lever to come out.

Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with striped damascening. The movement is signed “Carl G Stock, Santa Ana, Cal, 17 Jewels” # 2158094. The movement is in 90% mint condition – some scratches

Case – the movement comes in a white metal silveroid open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a superb case however 50% of the wire on the winder is missing

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Carl G Stock, Santa Ana, Cal”. The dial is in 98% mint condition – a tiny hairline on the 12 and some tiny nibbles on the edge of the dial near the lever

The watch has a thick bevelled mineral glass

The watch measures 58mm wide x 19mm deep

The watch is stem wound / lever set
