About this item
An aged, reclaimed oak beam. The beam is thick and chunky and has a fantastic rustic appearance. The beam has a waxed finish giving the wood an attractive colour and shine. The beam has a lovely reclaimed, rustic, look and has character signs of wear and age. The beam has some rough edges, notches and cut marks. There are some deep surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the beam. There are some uneven edges. One side has some damage due to woodworm that has been treated and there are some visible holes and a channel in the centre. An old nail can be seen. Please see pictures for details. The beam is solid and heavy and ideal for use in an inglenook fireplace or for other rustic home projects.
