About this item
An aged, reclaimed oak beam. The beam is thick and chunky and has a fantastic rustic appearance. The beam has a waxed finish giving the wood an attractive colour and shine. The beam has a lovely reclaimed, rustic, look and has character signs of wear and age. The beam has some rough edges, notches and cut marks. There are some surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the beam. There are some uneven edges. There is a deep gouge from a wood knot on one edge. One end of the beam has a cut out notch and peg hole where it was fitted into another beam or joint previously. Some character colour variation. Please see pictures for details. The beam is solid and heavy and ideal for use in an inglenook fireplace or for other rustic home projects.
