About this item
This striking cushion is made from a vintage Banjara bag. The Banjara are a semi nomadic ethnic group originating from Rajasthan. The textile is made from layers of thin cotton quilted together with strong and even stitches in a herringbone pattern. The top layer of fabric is a Balotra block print in madder and indigo which is nicely faded to a greeny blue. The top 3 inches of the cushion is made from a green Balotra which then blends into the faded indigo. This cushion is backed with teal dyed vintage hemp, and I've added grey teal tassels in bamboo yarn. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
