Dong Wedding Blanket Cushions With Tassels

These pretty cushions are made from a vintage Dong wedding blanket that dates to the first half C20. The blanket was handloomed in cotton and silk and has a beautiful aged patina. The cotton ground is now a dark beige colour and the supplementary floating weft pattern in silk has become worn but the silk still has a wonderful shine. The colours of the silk are cream, pink, lavender and indigo.. I've lined and backed the cushions with natural linen and added oyster pink tassels. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
