About this item
This cushion is made from a handwoven textile from Chichicastenango, Guatemala. The textile was made into a huipil which is a traditional tunic like garment made from piecing several panels of cloth together. I have unpicked the panels and requisitioned them for cushions. The ground cotton is a dark brown and the colourful pattern is made with supplementary weft. The colours are delightful and include soft tones of pink brown yellow blue and turquoise. Ive backed the cushion with a heavy slate coloured linen and there is a zip fastener and feather pad.
