About this item

These cushions are made from a vintage cotton Chinese quilt top with a beautiful pattern using an indigo resist technique. The pattern comprises various auspicious symbols including sacred bamboo and ribbons. The indigo is a lovey vibrant shade of blue. One of the cushions has a small mark which I have shown in the photos. It's very rare to find these in perfect condition. I've backed the cushions with a vintage hand woven textile from the Buyi ethnic minority and this is in a tiny geometric pattern, again dyed a similar bright indigo. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
