Large Dai cushion with tassels

This beautiful large cushion is made from a vintage Dai minority wedding blanket in indigo, beige, off white and pale pink. I've used the underside of the handloomed blanket for the front of the cushion as the delicate colours are much better preserved. The pale pink is especially delightful. I've added a strip to the top and bottom edges from an extra piece of the blanket to give a bigger scale to the cushion. This can be seen on the photo of the side view. I've backed the cushion with indigo dyed cotton and added blue tassels in recycled jeans cotton to the corners. There is a zip fasteners and feather pad. Just exquisite!
