Magnificent Buyi Cushions

These magnificent cushions are made from the 2 panels of a Buyi minority baby blanket. The blanket was handwoven in the 1980s and has never been used. It is woven expertly in thick cotton yarn in soft pastel colours. The weaver was obviously a lover of colour and Ive picked out the blue and red colours of the ovene panels for the backs of the cushions. These are also wonderful handloomed vintage textiles from East China. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.

I think these cushions are show stoppers and the price reflects the expertise and rarity of a more modern example of a traditional culture.
