Blue And White Ewe Cushions

This spectacular blue and white cushion is made from an Ewe women's wrapper from Ghana. I've made 2 cushions from the textile with the fronts bearing the zig zag motif with the fringe and the backs plain stripes. The colour is an attractive dark indigo alternating with a lighter blue. I have reinforced all the seams of the strips and matched the stripes at the seams. So there was quite a lot of labour involved in the construction. The textile dates to the 1960s so is not brand new. There's one small faded mark on the back of one of them, shown in a photo. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
