Songjiang Cushion With Frill Trim

These cushions are another favourite of mine. They're made from 3 different vintage textiles from the Songjiang area of Shanghai. The front is a check in different tones of blue. The weaver had a really good eye, as they've included a pink and yellow pinstripe which has really brought the design alive. The frill border is a ditsy check in two tones of dark blue. The textile has a good weight and as a result the frill trim is sturdy enough to stand up rather than flop over, which i like. The backs of the cushions are another ditsy check, this time a mid blue and white. I have inserted the zip in the back of the cushion, and there are feather pads.
