Songjiang Cushions, Plaid

These cushions are another favourite of mine. They're made from 2 different vintage textiles from the Songjiang area of Shanghai. The front is a check in different tones of blue. The weaver had a really good eye, as they've included a pink and yellow pinstripe which has really brought the design alive. The backs of the cushions are a ditsy check, this time a mid blue and dark blue. There is a good weight to the fabric and both sides have a lovely texture associated with handloomed textiles. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
