Songjiang narrow stripe cushions
These cushions are made from an attractive vintage Chinese textile from the Songjiang area of Shanghai. The textile was handloomed on a narrow loom in hand-spun cotton. The colours are natural dyes, predominantly indigo, and including pink and a rare green colour which helps to date it to the 1940s. There are slubs in the coloured stripes which are characteristic of hand spun yarns. I've used the Songjiang for both sides of the cushions, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
