    About this item

A beautiful glass pin dish or ashtray designed by Heinrich Hoffman and made in Czechoslovakia. This particular design appears in the Hoffman catalogue for 1927. The base is impressed with an image of a stylish flapper girl smoking a cigarette. This type of decoration is known as 'intaglio' and Hoffman produced a wide range of such pieces. It is impressed with Hoffman's butterfly trademark.
