This is a medieval silver penny of King Henry III, struck at the Canterbury mint between 1250-1272 AD. ҺЄHRICVS RЄX III, crowned facing bust holding sceptre. The Moneyer who struck the coin was called Nicole, his name and mint are found on the reverse of the coin. +NICOLE.ON.CANT. voided long cross with pellet at the centre and three pellets in each quarter. This is a Class 3D.
