This is a medieval silver penny of King John of England, struck at the Canterbury Mint between 1199 - 1216 AD.
Obverse: ҺЄNRICVS RЄX (King Henry) Legend around crowned facing bust, holding sceptre.
Reverse: +WALTER ON CAN (Walter of Canterbury) Legend around voided cross, with four pellets in angles.
It is a splendid example in VF condition.
