About this item
These cushions are made from an early Zhuang wedding blanket in cotton and silk. The blanket was originally pink and the plant dye has oxidised over the years to this lovely gold colour which helps us to date it to around 100 years old. The blanket is in great condition and I've backed it with a mid century hand woven textile from East China. The textile is woven from hand spun cotton so has a wonderful slubby texture and is coloured with natural dyes grey green and red. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
These cushions are just beautiful !
