About this item
These large cushions are made from the centre panels of a vintage Zhuang wedding blanket. They comprise handloomed thick cotton in a geometric design with rusty and very dark indigo colours. The colours are natural dyes and the rust comes from the mineral dye, senna. I've backed them with a complementary rust coloured vintage hemp and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
tThe design is sometimes called salt and pepper.
