    About this item

A pretty and delicate Victorian cast iron combination fireplace with a very attractive design. The fire is of an ideal size for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The fire has an arched opening with a heavily decorated border pattern that is repeated under the mantel. The fire has retained its original, patterned, smoke flap and shaped front bars. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in good antique condition with some light signs of use and wear. The back has surface rust as expected. The fire has some small casting marks and scratches. The fire is missing one fixing lug. Suitable for a bedroom and ideal for a period property, the fire is a very pretty and desirable item. A fine example of Victorian design.
