About this item
A small, earthenware jelly mould with a rabbit to the base. This is impressed ‘No13 BROWNFIELD 3IN’. This is the mark of William Brownfield of Cobridge and it dates from c.1860. No 13 would have been the pattern number from the Brownfield catalogue of the period and 3in relates to the size. The design is very well detailed. It shows a rabbit eating turnips and there is a fancy border to the sides. The mould is in excellent condition.
