    About this item

    A fabulous quality, 18th century creamware mould with a basket of fish to the base and three peg feet. This is lightly potted, and the glaze has a rich green tint. The basket of fish is exceptionally well detailed and this is surrounded by a border design which is known as either the loop and pin or egg and dart design. This design was used as both a moulded border design and also a printed or painted design on ceramics in the 18th century. The mould dates from c.1780.

    Dimensions: Length 18cm. Width 13.2cm Depth 7.4cm. 

    English creamware. Date c.1790.

    Condition: Two tiny chips to the rim with a faint hairline crack running from one of them.
