    About this item

A super quality 18th century, pierced creamware curd cheese mould. This is very finely potted and there is quite a rich yellow glaze to the pot. The tiered sides are elaborately pierced with geometric patterns made up of circular, oval and triangular holes. To the top is  a realistically modelled fish, swimming in waves.

There is one small chip to the rim which could be the result of the removal of a kiln stilt during the manufacture. Otherwise it is in excellent condition.

English, probably Leeds Pottery. Date c.1780.

    Dimensions: Length 16.7cm. Width 13cm Height 9cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. and most of Western Europe. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20.
