About this item
A Grimwade’s Paragon jelly mould. The design to the inside of this mould is very simple, with fluted sides and a stylised flower to the top. However, the main interest is the advertising prints to the exterior. The top of the mould has a green transfer print which reads “THE PARAGON BLANC-MANGE & JELLY MOULD” and the sides have very detailed prints which advertise the “GRIMWADE PATENT QUICK COOKER”. The adverts gives instructions on the use and the method of cooking. The mould dates from c.1900 and it is in excellent condition.
