    About this item

    A small, earthenware mould with a rabbit to the base. This is marked ’No13 BROWNFIELD 2IN’. This is the mark of William Brownfield of the Cobridge Works, Stoke on Trent and it dates from c.1860. The number 13 would be the pattern number and 2IN relates to the depth of the mould in inches.

    The design in the base shows a rabbit eating turnips. It is quite unusual to find this design in such a small size.

    Dimensions: Length 9cm. Width 7.5cm. Depth 5.4cm.

    English: Brownfield pottery. Date c.1860.

    Condition: Perfect.
