    Item details

A set of four very large, reclaimed, pine bifold panels / room dividers, likely to date to the late Victorian period. The panels are of a rare large size and were originally used to divide a room in a Victorian home and are ideal for this purpose or perhaps for other interior projects such as large cupboard doors. The dividers comprise of four sections of a similar size which are designed to open in the centre, 2 on each side that are hinged together, and can be folded back. The dividers have an attractive period appearance and each features six recessed panels with mouldings. The dividers have been painted but there are differing colours, stains and chips in the paint and some paint missing to the base edges and they will need to be stripped by purchaser and re-painted to suit. The room dividers are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. The wood has some knocks and chips especially to the edges and corners. There is a chip to one of the divider base corners. There are some small holes at the base of the dividers and some small holes where door furniture has been removed. The height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The room dividers / bifold panels have a very elegant appearance and are perfect for a period home. It is very rare to find original Victorian dividers of this size and they are very desirable and would make a great statement in a home.

Please note the dividers could be reduced in size by cutting the top panel off. Please see measurement details below and please contact us should you require any further information regarding this.
