Davenport Pottery

Davenport of Longport in Staffordshire operated from 1794 until 1887 under John Davenport and his successors, producing earthenware, stone china, bone china and, unusually for a pottery, cut and engraved glass. Quality was consistently high and the factory supplied services to the royal household, which has kept collector interest strong.

Davenport pottery and porcelain listed on Antiques Boutique includes dessert and dinner wares, botanical and Japan pattern plates, jugs, comports and decorative vases. Pieces are usually marked with an anchor, sometimes with DAVENPORT above or below it, and later marks include a crown.
