    About this item

A very rare ceramic figurine of a pig, made by the Ditmar Urbach factory in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. The factory made a number of slightly grotesque looking animals all of which were handpainted. This pig is decorated with brightly coloured flowers and bows and has a typically grotesque face. His base is impressed with a number 2 and faintly with 11094. He bears no maker's mark, as is common, but is unmistakably Ditmar Urbach.
