Spectacular large antique Spanish mirror

Very large, late 19th century, decorative, carved wood Spanish mirror with partly cream gesso, plum and dark chestnut coloured frame with hints of silver leaf remaining. Topped with an intricately carved, high, pierced, cartouche with a central urn flanked with flowers and leaves and acanthus leaf supports. At the base of the mirror a carved shell completes the decoration. The original glass has a little, light age and gives an excellent reflection.
