DP0337 A PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE GLAZED FRENCH DOORS
A pair of reclaimed, Victorian, painted pine French doors. The doors are suited for internal or external use and have an attractive appearance, typical of the era. The external face of the doors have flush panels at the base and the interior face has recessed panels. The doors each have a large panel, glazed with plain glass, and a decorative arched top and base to the panels. The glass does not meet current safety regulations so a safety film will be applied, included in the price, that will allow the glass to meet the safety requirements. Please contact us for further information regarding the film. The doors have a rebated inner edge so they sit well together and there are handles on each side. The doors have been painted white but there are chips and marks to the paint and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the doors to suit. The doors are in good antique condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The doors have some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. The external face has paint missing where weather strips have been removed. There are some treated woodworm holes. One of the top arches has some putty repairs. Door furniture may need to be replaced and it has some residue paint. The door heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very elegant look and are perfect for adding period charm to a home.
