    About this item

A pair of reclaimed antique oak and veneer doors for internal use. The doors are dated to C.1905 and the main construction is solid oak with oak veneer panels. The doors each have six recessed panels and there is nice detail routed into the oak, horizontally, between the panels. The doors can be used as a pair or as individuals. The doors appear to have been used as an in and an out, or as singles originally as the hinges are placed in differing positions on each door. You may wish to patch repair one doors hinge slots and move the hinges to match the hinge position of the other door. The doors have batons on the side edges to make them slightly wider and one door has a baton at the base to make the door slightly taller. The batons are slightly noticeable but have been well done. The batons could be removed by you if desired. The measurements are listed below with and without batons. The door without a baton at the base has a notch on one face that runs the length of the bottom edge of the door. Please see last 4 pictures for images of the notch and batons.

The doors are in reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of antique items. The doors have had some patch repairs to hardware holes. One door is missing hinges and you will need to replace these. The veneer of the panels has some cracking, lifting and flaking. The doors have some holes and marks from where door furniture was removed. The doors have some knocks and scratches. The oak has some staining and marks. The door heights may need slight levelling. One edge baton is peeling away at the top. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a fantastic period look and would make a great feature for a home.

Measurements with batons included - PLEASE NOTE measurements are approximate due to the batons and the doors needing some levelling. Please ask if you need further information.
