About this item
A pair of reclaimed stripped pine external / storm doors. The doors are likely to date to the early 1900s and have a flush planked appearance on the front face and recessed panels on the back face. One door has a space for a letterbox plate. The doors have a rebated inner edge so they sit nicely together when closed. The front face of the doors have been stripped and the back face is painted white. The paint has flaking and chips and you may wish to sand the back of the doors and then finish the doors to suit.
The doors have some signs of age and wear, as expected. The doors have some slight knocks to the base. The doors have some holes and marks from hardware removal. The pine has some scratches, marks and small knocks, especially to the edges and corners. The top edges have some splintering from where the door heights were levelled. The pine has some wood knots and notches. There is a slight scoop to one edge. The stripped front face has some paint residue and roughness to the grooves where the planks meet. The pine has some slight colour variation. There is some very slight separation where the top joints meet. The hinges have surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors are solidly made and have a nice traditional look, ideal for adding character to a home.
