About this item
Remarkable Italian metamorphic Sorrento ware games table c.1970. Highly decorative top with elaborate floral design marquetry inlay against a burr walnut veneered ground. Flip the top for a backgammon board, underneath which is a second loose top with a chess board on one side and green baize for cards on the other. Below that is a roulette table which slides apart to reveal the wheel, as well gambling chips, chess and backgammon pieces, playing cards etc. Inlaid detail continued on the apron and legs. Surface damage to one of the legs, otherwise excellent condition.
