This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.

This is small desk seal with a rectangular green hard stone engraved with an intaglio of the words “Childs Ercall” – this is a village and civil parish in Shropshire
The seal is set into a gold desk seal with a stepped base and handle
On the top of the handle is a space to hold sealing wax – this needs replacing
The seal measures 17mm x 11mm and is in 100% mint condition
