This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This seal has a solid gold handle but the base is metal covered with a thin layer of gold
The base is set with a hard stone engraved with the intaglio of a horse
The domed base has ribbed detailing and a simple round handle. On a very small finger it could be worn a ring
The fob measures 19mm x 17mm and is in 90% mint condition – some small scratches on the stone and light wear also
