Winner: Best Display at Henley Decor Fair, Sept 2023

We are delighted to have sponsored the wonderful Henley Decor Fair Sept 2023 and are proud to present the award for Best Display to the collab between Chris Charles Antiques / Mr Newton / Mono Antiques.

These three chaps (Chris, Darren and Masa) have worked wonderfully together to combine very different styles into a beautifully coordinated display.

Whilst the three businesses had roughly divided up the tent into thirds between them, they deliberately mixed and matched each others stock to create a beautiful composition of Japanese antiques, vintage industrial furniture, and vernacular pieces. One of the things I love about the antiques industry is how willing dealers are to collaborate and work together, rather than acting like competitors. This stand was a shining example.

I particularly liked the miniature Swedish chair from Chris Charles, the Bus Blinds and clocks from Mr Newton, and the beautiful indigo textiles and decorative pieces from Mono Antiques... if the dealers feel like donating any of these pieces to live in my house, they'd be very welcome!

Dolly Daydream

It was really nice to meet "Dolly Daydream", a name apparently given to her by her father when she was a toddler. Kate is full of personality and has so much passion for what she does. Very accomodating and welcoming when you come onto her stand, which whilst very busy, felt incredibly homely and comfortable. Somewhere I could have sat for an hour quite peacefully!
