About this item
A superb pair of late 19th century fine quality mahogany demi-lune console tables in the Adam style - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
The tables consist of solid demi-lune mahogany tops of fine, faded patina with carved egg and dart moulding to the edge.
This leads down to a finely carved frieze consisting of central carved Classical urn framed within a moulded panel with scrolling foliate, flower and anthemion decoration.
The tables are supported on four tapered legs, the top of each leg having applied, chamfered moulding leading down to a fluted leg, these terminating with an acanthus leaf and acorn foot.
These tables could be put together to form a circular table but are really more suited to their original use, as console or side tables.
This pair of tables are in very good condition for age, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
